Wednesday 28th of October 2015 was the latest Give and Gain day, where a group of volunteers come and help with tasks that the volunteer working members have on the ‘nice to do list’.
As the weather was very wet until after lunch, the day’s activities were indoor based.
One of the tasks was cleaning Santa’s Grotto (we had special permission from the gentleman himself!). Santa asked for us not to take lots of photos so he can maintain the surprise for all of the boys & girls coming to visit him in a few weeks’ time.

The other tasks were a quick service clean of the passenger coaches and a deeper clean of NLRPS’s BR Mark 1 coach M3919 (including armrest removal in M3919) plus more track (fishplate) bolt refurbishment.
A thank you to the Nationwide Building Society volunteers, some of whom had travelled a long way to join us at the N&LR.
