Our vintage transport event is back for 2026!
The Vintage Transport Day will bring together steam trains rides and an eclectic mix of vintage vehicles.
Exhibitor Spaces – FULLY BOOKED. We are NOT accepting applications for any more vehicle exhibits at this time.
The event will feature an eclectic mix of exhibits, such as:
- Classic cars and camper vans
- Vintage buses (including short circular bus trips provided by Northampton Heritage Transport)
- Vintage fire engines
Event entry is free for all exhibitors (plus a companion), but donations to the cost of running the Gala are gratefully received.
Exhibitor terms and conditions
- Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a lead at all times and please clean up any mess.
- Exhibits must be in place before 9:30am and remain until at least 4pm.
- All exhibits must be at least 30 years old.
- No running machinery to be left unattended.
- All exhibitors must be in possession of current Public Liability Insurance Cover of at least £2,000,0000.
- All moving vehicles must be in possession of third party cover which must be produced on the day of the rally if requested.
- In the interest of safety, please ensure that anyone authorised to drive an exhibited vehicle at this event, holds a current driving licence. Please check with your own insurance that you are covered for exhibiting.
- A 5mph speed limit applies throughout the site at all times.
- Vehicles must have a valid MOT certificate (if appropriate).
- Carriage of passengers is prohibited unless agreed in advance with the event organisers.
- Steam powered exhibits must have a valid certificate of boiler insurance. Exhibitors must produce documentary proof for inspection e.g. original Certificates or NTET disc. Without such proof, no pressure in the boiler shall be permitted.
- Northampton Steam Railway Ltd and officials of Northampton & Lamport Railway accept no liability for any loss, damage or injury to any person or property during the event, however such loss or damage occurs.
- Please respect our volunteers. Abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in you being asked to leave the event.
- There will be no loud music played on site other than entertainment pre-booked by the Railway.
